The line stretching out the door of the employee café at Sally Beauty Holdings world headquarters in Denton, Texas was filled with energized employees decked out in myriad shades of pink. The occasion was a building-wide celebration of the successful and continuing partnership between Sally Beauty Holdings and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Last year, Sally Beauty Holdings raised over $1.3 million for Susan G. Komen™ through a combination of the sales of Komen branded product and donations from our customers. This year, we plan to meet and surpass that goal. In honor of the occasion our company was hosting a free lunch for all of its employees.
When the café tables were full of employees with their lunches of chicken fried steak or grilled chicken with all the trimmings, Gary Winterhalter, Chairman, President and CEO of Sally Beauty Holdings, stepped up to the microphone to make the exciting announcement that beginning January 2013, Sally Beauty Holdings will be the covering the cost of all our employees across the US and Puerto Rico to enter any of the 135 Susan G. Komen races to be held next year. Also, Sally Beauty Holdings will again be the presenting sponsor for the local race here in our home town of Denton.

Komen for the Cure® by participating in the Komen Denton Race for the Cure® or any of the other 135 races across the U.S. held each year – go to www.komen.org to find one closest to you . You can also contribute to Komen by dropping money in the Susan G. Komen canister by the register in all of Sally Beauty’s more than 2,700 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
