Motherly Advice

Mothers are full of advice. It’s part of the job description. As far as beauty advice goes, mine likes to tell me to put on lipstick. “You look pretty! But, where’s your lipstick?” “Have fun tonight. Be safe! Put on lipstick!” Or while looking at pictures, “Looks like you had a great time. Why aren’t you wearing lipstick?” To be fair, I do have pale lips that tend to disappear on my face so she really is trying to do me a favor.  But, in the grand tradition of mother-daughter relationships, do I listen? Not often.

Do you have a piece of beauty advice your mom gives you, or gave you in the past? Please share in the comments and on Monday we’ll post some of our favorites.

“Your pants are too tight.’ LOL. That’s pretty good advice for most teenagers.

Blush. You look like the walking dead – put on blush! You are not going out with me without blush. (Mom – you have on mom jeans with a squirrel tshirt but ok…I will put on blush).

Whenever I was sick or depressed, my Mom always said wash your face, and put on some make-up, you’ll feel better…I always did, and it ALWAYS worked.
