Last weekend, I got a call from a friend and our conversation went something like this:
Friend: The manicurist thinned my polish after doing my nails, before she did my toes, and now they don’t match! It looks terrible! Do you think people will notice?
Me: You’re not supposed to wear the same colors on your nails and toenails, anyway. It’s too matchy-matchy.
Friend: … um, what?
So, who is right?

I never match my toes to my tips. Oddly enough, the only people who notice are men – and I’ve had more than one say “You don’t match.” No sorry, Barbie was wrong when they tried to match everything. Besides, I change my pedicure maybe once a month? Hands? Around twice a week. ^_^

I never match my hands and feet as I usually have nail wraps or foils on my toes and a nice bright cheery colour on my hands

I don’t do my toe nails nearly as often as my fingers nail, that’s the only reason I don’t match them. I don’t like conflicting colors either, so I usually use a nude tone or white sheer on my toe nails just to give that clean, treated look and go crazy on my fingers nail.

My motto is: The more color the better!!! I love that teal, too.

I never match toes to fingers. Polish on my toes tends to last a long time and I change polish on my fingers every week.

I usually wear pinks, mauves, reds, or neutrals on my fingernails and prefer to go brighter and bolder on my toenails. As long as the colors don’t clash, it’s all good

I don’t like it when they match! But I do like to do complementary or contrasting colors. If the two are way off – like a bright pink on the toes, but a brown on my nails – I can’t stand it either!
