It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Isn’t it amazing how time flies? We are already into 2011, and spring is almost here!
Do you ever go into a Sally Beauty store, look at the nail files and wonder which one would be best for you, and what all those numbers mean? Well, here are some tips on which one to choose:
The finer the grit, the higher the grit number. The coarser the grit, the lower the number. 80 to 180 is coarse to medium. 180 to 400 is medium to fine.
For natural nails, use a file with a fine grit. File from the outside moving in toward the center of the nail following the grain of the nail. Be sure to only file in one direction to avoid damaging your nails. For artificial nails use a file with a coarse grit.
